I’m SO excited to finally share with you the full post of the styled shoot I participated in last year! I absolutely need to start out this post by telling you just how incredibly amazing all of the vendors are that I worked with. They are some of the most talented professionals in the wedding industry and genuinely wonderful individuals at heart. Working in the wedding industry can be challenging at times, but these professionals remind me why I love the industry so much. We each have our own gifts, talents, passions, and goals to bring to the table. Put them all together and we help celebrate and capture one of the most special days in the lives of two people becoming one and two families joining together. I hope that you are inspired by these images! If you want information for any or all of the professionals involved, links to all participating vendors are listed at the end of the post. Please visit their sites and connect on social media for amazing wedding inspiration!
The shoot took place at the stunning Engedi Estate located in rural Frederick County, MD. Engedi is an open-air wedding venue, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, with plenty of space to celebrate your wedding day . They are currently paving the driveway and renovating the house on the property for use as a second bridal suite and professional office space. Both suites are beautiful inside and out and very comfortable. I speak from experience as I was in two weddings here in 2013. From a professional and personal standpoint, this is one of the most comfortable and convenient wedding venues I have ever been to. Debbie and her team who operate the venue are very professional and organized. They are a joy to work with both personally and professionally.
This is bridal suite number one. Attached are two bathrooms for both ladies and gents.
This is the house that is currently being renovated. Stay tuned for photos of the finished product. :)
This is the inside of bridal suite number one. It is filled with beautiful vintage furniture and plenty of mirrors for the ladies to get ready.
Stationary: your save-the-dates, invitations, and programs, they set the tone for your wedding day. The save-the-dates and invitations are the first glance that your guests have into your theme and style. Stationary was designed and created by the talented Sarah Coats of Beloved Paper. This gal is a doll! She’s so talented. Thank you Sarah for sharing your talent with us! Please visit her website and Etsy shop to view her beautiful designs!
There are several places around the property that lend themselves to beautiful styling. Small spaces styled to suit your wedding theme adds that extra touch to your wedding day. All styling was done by Marcie of Celebrating Love by Marcie. Most people don’t consider hiring a planner or stylist for their wedding or event because we tend to think we can do everything ourselves. Speaking from experience, we can’t! As a recent bride I can attest to spreading myself too thin. There’s never enough time in the weeks, days, and hours leading up to your wedding for you to accomplish your vision completely. That’s where professionals like Marcie come in. She has a way of getting inside your head and inside your heart to bring your dreams to life! All of the styling for this shoot was completely and totally her vision. I was just honored to capture it. Marcie has helped me plan and style a personal event of mine as well as with my friend’s wedding last fall. She has always been nothing short of professional, and needless to say, her creations are always above and beyond fabulous! If you’re looking for someone to design and style your wedding or event, you will not only be pleased with the result, but you will thoroughly enjoy working with her!
All formal wear was provided by Debi Poist of Love It Bridal, soon-to-be Love It At Stella’s. She provides a fabulous personal, boutique experience for every bride who walks through her door. Brides receive one-on-one attention and never have to compete with other brides vying for her time. I’m so excited for the growth and opportunities that her business is experiencing recently! Be on the lookout for a blogpost about her new shop location soon!
All florals were provided by Stacy Bowen of Blush Floral Design Studio, formerly Stacy Bowen Flowers. The day of the shoot was the first time I had met Stacy in person. She came very highly recommended to me and now I know why! Stacy pairs her amazing talent of floral design with the gift of one-of-a-kind personal service. Her new partnership studio is a high-end floral design shop located in Baltimore County, MD.
Hair and makeup was provided by the established and talented Brenda of Rose Brooke Studio. Her studio is located in downtown Frederick City, MD. Brenda was a joy to meet and work with. Like all of our vendors, she was the epitome of professional. Brenda, I am so grateful to have met you and hope to work with you more in the future!
A big thanks to the gentleman and two ladies who came out to be our models for the day! All of the vendors are grateful for your participation.
There are so many wonderful, photogenic places around Engedi for portraits!
Rentals were provided by Ginger and Spice Vintage Rental company located in Frederick, MD. Ginger and Spice recently opened and have the most gorgeous pieces available to rent for your wedding or event!
This is a working fireplace and it does a wonderful job heating the pavilion during colder months. Plus, it’s so cozy.
The Engedi pavilion ceiling is strung with white lights. They look especially beautiful at night when it blends in with the night sky.
This gorgeous rosette cake was provided by La Cakerie.
Feel free to connect with all of the fabulous vendors on social media for constant wedding inspiration!
